WITH SEVEN SCHOOLS EXITING THE BIG EAST, GET READY FOR THE BIG BANG (12.14.12) – As is always the case with mrsec.com articles, just an awesome article that throws out 44 possible teams for conference expansion while speculating on how it all might shake out for each of the major conferences.

In this edition, FTT touches on the makings and failings of the league while turning the page to the future of the seven catholic schools — which may or not not include a new conferences with teams to the tune of Dayton, Creighton, VCU, etc.

Big East back on life support, on verge of collapse (12.14.12) – We may see the official end to the Big East within the next 24-48 hours. While some fight to try to keep it together, the power lies in the 7 catholic schools that are reportedly cutting ties with the conference.

MAAC set to vote in new members: Quinnipiac, Monmouth considered locks, Wagner College an outside chance (12.13.12) – Lower on the totem pole of conference realignment comes the MAAC which is looking bring in up to three teams. And just in case you don’t know, MAAC stands for Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
